The columns can be used to purify single- or double-stranded DNA or RNA in the presence of impurities such as salts, solvents, enzymes, or proteins. Nucleic acids are adsorbed on the glass fiber at a high concentration of salt, salt and impurities are removed at the washing stage; Pure DNA/RNA is washed off the membrane with water or TE buffer.
