MCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction

B&M® MCX is a reversed-phase and cation-exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with cation exchange and reversed-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range of 0-14, stable in organic solvents, has a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity, high selectivity and sensitivity to basic compounds, and is especially suitable for the detection of melamine in milk, food and feed.

It is equivalent to Waters' Oasis MCX and Varian's Plexa PCX.

    MCX is a hybrid strong cation exchange adsorbent obtained by attaching a sulfonic acid group to a highly cross-linked PS/DVB surface. It has the dual retention properties of reversed-phase and strong cation exchange, as well as good retention capacity for alkaline substances.
