HLB Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® HLB is a solid phase extraction column based on N-vinylpyrrolidone and divinylbenzene. The combination of hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups on the surface results in balanced adsorption of a wide range of polar and non-polar compounds, and the adsorbent retains a high adsorption capacity even after equalization and draining. This means that very high sensitivity can be achieved with a simple method. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range of 0-14, stable in a wide range of organic solvents, and has a high adsorption capacity (3-10 times higher than that of C18). It is mainly used for the extraction of complex biological samples (e.g., blood, plasma, acidic, neutral, or basic drugs in body fluids).
Equivalent to Waters Oasis HLB.
GCB/PSA Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® Carb-GCB/PSA bilayer SPE composite columns provide GCB/NH2-like retention capacity for sample cleaning in multi-residue pesticide analyses. PSA has an additional secondary amine group, resulting in a higher ion exchange capacity, and acts as a complexing ligand for some metal ions, providing a different selectivity from GCB/NH2.
Equivalent to Waters Sep Black/PSA.
GCB/NH2 Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
The B&M® Carb-GCB/NH2 (Graphitized Carbon Black/Amino) double-layer column combines the advantages of GCB and NH2, removes interfering components such as color, sterols and fatty acids, and is very suitable for the determination of pesticide multi-residues in food (vegetables, fruits, meat, etc.), especially for the determination of pesticides included in the Japanese positive list.
Equivalent to Waters Sep-Pak Carbon Black/Amino.
Coconut Shell Activated Carbon Column Plates fo...
B&M® Coconut Shell Activated Carbon SPE is a high-quality activated carbon produced from coconut shell, which is a kind of crushed carbon with irregular particles, high strength, high adsorption capacity and low resistance.
Polyamide Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® Polyamide columns are used to extract tannins, chlorophylls, humic acids, pharmacologically active terpenoids, flavonoids, gallic acid, catechol A, protocatechuic acid, and resorcinol from aqueous or methanol solutions in a reversed-phase mechanism with a strong hydrogen bond between the compound's hydroxyl group and the resin's amide group. It is also used for the extraction of aromatic carboxylic acids and nitroaromatic compounds with irreversible benzoquinone retention.
Florisil Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® Florisil is an adsorbent of Florisil-MgO-SiO2 bound to silica gel magnesium oxide, which consists of three main components: silicon dioxide (84%), magnesium oxide (15.5%) and sodium sulfate (0.5%).
Similar to silica gel, this adsorbent is highly polar, highly reactive and weakly basic for the extraction of polar compounds from non-polar solutions and is used for the adsorption of weakly and moderately polar compounds from non-aqueous solutions. The large particle size in the Florisil package allows for faster processing of large sample volumes and can therefore be used in place of silica gel mini-columns when the samples have high viscosity.
In addition, Florisil can be used in place of alumina products in alumina columns when Lewis acid, which is part of the alumina, interferes with extraction.
BaP Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
Benzo(a)pyrene (BaP), also known as 3,4-benzo(a)pyrene, is a common highly reactive indirect carcinogen and is one of the three most potent carcinogens recognized in the world. According to the requirements of the Chinese national standard GB2716-2005 "Hygienic Standard for Edible Vegetable Oils", the safety limit of BaP in edible vegetable oil products is no more than 10 μg/kg.
B&M® BaP has excellent recoverability and reproducibility to meet the determination needs of benzo(a)pyrene in animal and vegetable oils and fats, to ensure accurate and consistent results, and to significantly improve operational efficiency.
Alumina-N Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
Alumina is a typical Lewis acid that does not have two electrons in the center of the aluminum atom, it is a strong polar adsorbent similar to silica gel; It is available in three high activity levels: acidic, basic, and neutral; alumina also has a special effect on the π-electrons of aromatic hydrocarbons; and it is more stable than silica gel under high pH conditions. The main confinement mechanisms are the Lewis acid-base interaction, the polar interaction, and ion exchange.
B&M® Alumina-N (pH=7.5) is also a strongly polar adsorbent. At high pH, alumina is more stable than silica gel with unbound functional groups. Smaller particles provide high extraction efficiency, which is why small columns (50 mg) are most often used. This adsorbent has an electrically neutral surface and promotes the retention of electron-rich compounds such as aromatics and aliphatic amines. It is also capable of holding compounds containing electronegative groups (e.g., functional groups containing atoms such as oxygen, phosphorus, and sulfur). Alumina-N can be used for the extraction and separation of polar and non-polar substances in water-soluble and non-water-soluble samples, respectively.
Alumina-B Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
Alumina is a typical Lewis acid that does not have two electrons in the center of the aluminum atom, it is a strong polar adsorbent similar to silica gel; It is available in three high activity levels: acidic, basic, and neutral; alumina also has a special effect on the π-electrons of aromatic hydrocarbons; and it is more stable than silica gel under high pH conditions. The main confinement mechanisms are the Lewis acid-base interaction, the polar interaction, and ion exchange.
The surface of B&M® Alumina-B (pH = 10) is oriented to retain positively charged or hydrogen-bonded substances. Alumina pre-treated with alkaline solutions has anionic properties and is cation exchange. In addition, it retains electron-donor samples such as neutral amines, although the surface also has the properties of a Lewis base. This ability is much lower for neutral and acidic alumina. In addition, strong hydrogen bonding is possible on alumina-B, making it useful for polar cationic samples.
Alumina-A Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
Alumina is a typical Lewis acid that does not have two electrons in the center of the aluminum atom, it is a strong polar adsorbent similar to silica gel; It is available in three high activity levels: acidic, basic, and neutral; alumina also has a special effect on the π-electrons of aromatic hydrocarbons; and it is more stable than silica gel under high pH conditions. The main confinement mechanisms are the Lewis acid-base interaction, the polar interaction, and ion exchange.
The acidic properties of Lewis B&M® Alumina-A (pH = 4.5) are enhanced, and the adsorbent is better able to retain electron-rich compounds. In addition, the weak cationic nature of the adsorbent allows it to more easily hold neutral and negatively charged substances (e.g., electrically neutral acids or acidic anions) on the surface when pretreated with an acidic solution, while positively charged substances are not retained as well. The weak ion exchange property also increases the probability of retention of negatively charged substances.
WCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® WCX is a hybrid column for solid-phase extraction with weak cation exchange and hydrophobicity, containing slightly acidic functional groups of carboxylic acids. It is used to pre-process samples of highly basic compounds such as quaternary ammonium. It is a weak cation exchange, hybrid, water-wetted polymer adsorbent that is stable in the pH range from 0 to 14.
WCX has all the benefits of HLB. A stable, highly selective solid-phase extraction method using WCX allows monitoring, validation and quantification of highly basic compounds such as quaternary ammonium in a variety of sample matrices.
Equivalent to Waters Oasis WCX.
WAX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® WAX is a reversed-phase and anion exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with anion exchange and reverse-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range 0-14, stable in organic solvents, with a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity and adsorption of all types of polar and non-polar compounds.
It is the equivalent of Waters Oasis WAX.
