Typical Applications
The C8/SAX functional group consists of proportionally bound octyl and quaternary ammonium salts that provide double retention: the octyl group provides moderate hydrophobicity and the quaternary ammonium group provides strong anion exchange.
For samples that are difficult to elute due to excessive adsorption with C18 and C8 as well as excessive SAX retention capacity, C8/SAX mixed extraction columns can be used.
