WAX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® WAX is a reversed-phase and anion exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with anion exchange and reverse-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range 0-14, stable in organic solvents, with a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity and adsorption of all types of polar and non-polar compounds.
It is the equivalent of Waters Oasis WAX.
MCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® MCX is a reversed-phase and cation-exchange composite "water-wet" polymer adsorbent with cation exchange and reversed-phase adsorption modes and good water wettability. The matrix is pure, stable in the pH range of 0-14, stable in organic solvents, has a high specific surface area, high exchange capacity, high selectivity and sensitivity to basic compounds, and is especially suitable for the detection of melamine in milk, food and feed.
It is equivalent to Waters' Oasis MCX and Varian's Plexa PCX.
MAX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
B&M® MAX is a reversed-phase and strong anion exchange complex "water-wet" polymer adsorbent. Its matrix consists of N-vinylpyrrolidone and divinylbenzene polymerized in a certain ratio (HLB), and then the quaternary ammonium group (CH2N(CH3)2C4H9+) is attached to the HLB, which provides two adsorption modes: anion exchange and reversed-phase adsorption, stable in the pH range of 0-14 and has good water wettability. It has high selectivity and sensitivity to acid compounds and can overcome the limitations of traditional hybrid adsorbents for silica gel matrix-based solid-phase extraction.

C8/SCX Column Plates for Solid Phase Extraction
The B&M® C8/SCX is a silica gel-based packing column with C8 and strong cation exchange SCX (C8/SCX) mixed in an optimal ratio to provide a dual containment mechanism in which the C8 functional group interacts with the hydrophobic analyte groups and the SCX functional group interacts with the protonated amino group. Due to such strong interactions, stronger wash conditions can be used to remove co-extracts that may interfere with UV detection or cause ion suppression in LC-MS. The steady-state phase is not capped, allowing for additional interactions between the residual silanol groups and the polar analytes, thereby contributing to improved retention.
